Why do the smoothies I make always turn out wrong?
Posted by Joe in Drink Blenders on February 6th, 2009
I follow the directions on every smoothie thing I get (ice, cream, liquor, frozen fruit, whatever it might include),
and it always turns out as slush instead of a smoothie!
Why is this so?
Is it because of my blender?
Theres always chunks of ice and all the contents float to the top while the liquids seperate on the bottom.
I noticed how it’s done at bars and restaurants, but they turn out perfect.
What can I do to fix this?
How can I make mixed drinks in the blender without them getting too watery?

Every time I try to make a frozen mixed drink, I follow the instructions about how much ice to add and how long to blend it, but they always come out runnier than when I get them in a restaurant or bar. Any advice or ideas as to what I might be doing wrong?
Is there a HEALTHY meal replacement program (shakes, etc.) that can give me all the calories I need per day?

I want to lose about 20-30 pounds. I do not like to cook and am very active so I don’t have time anyway. I keep eating unhealthy meals. I’m trying to find a really good, HEALTHY, meal replacement shake/bar/etc. I know I need at least 1200 calories a day to not enter starvation mode. I know people may say there’s nothing as healthy as eating real veggies, etc., but isn’t ther ANYTHING out there on the market that IS as healthy as actually eating the real stuff? I’d like to literally eat nothing but the meal replacements all day long…does this product exist? Is it OK to just eat meal replacements all day long? Or if this is an unhealthy plan, does anybody currently have a smoothie regime working for them that is healthy and easy…maybe throwing veggies and fruit in a blender with the shake to get the added nutrition? Where can I find the website that has the best deals on products such as these? THANKS A BUNCH!

We saw a thing like a blender at the bar this weekend filled with beer, what was it?
Posted by Joe in Drink Blenders on August 9th, 2008
While at a bar this weekend, we saw what looked like a blender with ice in the middle serving beer at the table next to us. What was it? It had a tap on it and an ice tube in the middle. Anyone know what it was or where to get it?
